Kindred Spirit Elephant Sanctuary

Day 1 - Pick up in Chiang Mai and travel to the village, meet your homestay and cook dinner with them Day 2 - Hike out to find the elephants and learn about them, their personalities and behaviours. Have lunch in the forest with the elephants. Induction talks in the afternoon and a lesson on the local language Day 3-onwards - For those staying longer, days will include hiking out to the elephants everyday and project work in the afternoons.

- Collecting and recording data on our elephant behaviour - Analyzing data - Writing reports - Helping with guests - Community projects such as teaching English and litter pick-ups - Helping with social media

The volunteers in this animal rescue center generally get 2 day(s) off a week. In regards to working hours, the volunteers work per day 7 hours/working day.

Basic western breakfast offered at our base hut, and a rice lunch and dinner is cooked by your homestay.

No skills required for our guest program, but for our internships, experience in data collection or photography is required.

For our guest program, the cost is: 2days/1night - $180-310usd depending on how many people are joining 3days/2nights - $240-360usd depending on how many people are joining For our research or photography internship, the cost is $1,500-2,100usd for 4-8 weeks. This price includes pick-up and drop off from/to Chiang Mai, accommodation and food in the village.

We will pick you up at our meeting point in Chiang Mai.

To volunteer in this center you will have to be at least 18 years old
